Glittering paper jewellery
With a little skill you can make gleaming beads out of coloured paper. Thread them onto an elastic band to make fantastic necklaces and bracelets. If you make different sizes and colours, this handmade jewellery will be really special.
- wrapping paper
- Pritt Original Stick
The beads shine particularly brilliantly if they are covered in clear varnish.
The beads are made from paper triangles. The triangles are narrow, isosceles and tapered. They look like this: You can make them as large or small as you like. If you make the base of the triangle narrower, the beads will also be narrower. The higher the triangles, the wider the beads will be. Just try it out.
Use a ruler to draw a narrow, long triangle and cut it out.
Then spread a thin layer of glue on the back.
Roll the triangle up over the toothpick. Start with the wide side and roll it into a point.
Then stick it together with a little glue and your first bead is finished.
Remove the toothpick and leave the bead to dry.
Once you have enough beads for a necklace and a bracelet, you can thread them onto the elastic.
It looks great if you thread a shiny glass bead on between every paper bead.
